At Caregiving Welfare Association (CWA), the sound of laughter filled the room as seniors eagerly marked their Bingo cards, folded bright paper airplanes, and dipped delicate fans into swirling marbling paints. For many, it was a day that rekindled childhood memories — a rare chance to play, create, and be surrounded by warm company.

On 6 November 2025, a team of volunteers from Rezeca spent the afternoon with 25 elderly participants, leading a series of lighthearted and creative activities. What began with simple games soon turned into a meaningful exchange of stories, smiles, and new friendships.

The seniors were especially delighted by the Bingo game, which sparked laughter and friendly competition. The paper airplane contest brought out their playful side — some shared that they had never folded a plane before in their youth, yet now, they were proudly launching their creations across the room to the cheers of their peers.

The highlight of the day was the traditional marbling fan craft, where each senior designed their own one-of-a-kind fan using water marbling techniques. The fans bloomed with colour — swirling greens, golds, and reds — reflecting each participant’s unique creativity and spirit.

Through these simple but heartfelt activities, the seniors exercised both mind and body — folding, painting, and sharing stories that bridged generations. More importantly, they spent an afternoon feeling accompanied, valued, and young again.

“It’s not about doing something big — it’s about making someone feel seen and happy again,” shared one of the Rezeca volunteers. “We wanted to bring warmth, laughter, and human connection, and I think we all left with full hearts.”
